Design & Procurement
The purpose of the design and procurement stages is to prepare the project for the construction phase. The works required during this stage vary depending on the type and scale of technology, the client’s preferred procurement method and the source of funding for the project. In general, this stage will include the procurement of all consultants, contractors and product suppliers and the procurement of all funding needed to build the project. Locogen carry out the project management of design and procurement phase with in house resources. At the end of this stage the project should be “shovel ready” to enter the construction phase. In addition, our client is updated on the business case for the project, the risks and issues associated with the project and be aware of the cost and timescales for the construction phase of the project.
Construction
The purpose of the construction stage is to build and commission the project in accordance with the design and specification and to handover the project to the operation team for the operation phase. The works required during this stage vary depending on the type and scale of technology, the client’s preferred procurement method and the source of funding for the project. The services that Locogen provide in this stage include:

Locogen carry out the project management of the construction phase with in house resources. At the end of this stage the project should be commissioned and ready to enter the operation phase. Typically, due to snagging, the project is already in the operation phase by the time the construction phase is complete. In addition, at the end of this stage our client is updated on the business case with their operational project based on as built information and the risks and issues associated with the project.
