We are delighted to announce that Fife Council has granted permission for our Craigluscar Solar and BESS project in Fife, Scotland. The project was developed in partnership between Locogen and Aukera Energy, with Locogen’s Planning and Environment consultancy team undertaking the planning application works including ecology and ornithology surveys.
The project combines 40MW solar with 9.9MW embedded battery storage and will be capable of producing enough clean energy to power around 10,700 homes, equating to approximately 17,200 tonnes of CO2 savings per year.
The project continues our recent successes in the UK with over 250MW consented in the past few years. We are very much looking forward to continuing work on the project to bring it to operation.
