Locogen Project Wins ‘Best Community Project’ Award

We’re absolutely delighted that the Dundonald wind turbine, wholly owned by the Ore Valley Housing Association Limited, won the ‘Best Community Project’ Award at The Scottish Green Energy Awards at a prestigious ceremony at the EICC on December 6.

Locogen has worked alongside OVHA on the Dundonald wind turbine project right from the initial idea, with our consultancy director, Ian McLean, involved since 2007. It’s a great example of a successful, long-term business relationship and demonstrates Locogen’s ability to deliver an end-to-end service, from initial feasibility right through to our asset management services, which ensure peak performance of the turbine is maintained.

Locogen’s Consultancy Director, Ian McLean, whose team manages the turbine on behalf of OVHA, said: “I’m incredibly proud to have been involved in this project since 2007. To see Ore Valley’s progress in providing real change within the Cardenden community over the years has been truly fulfilling. However, to have it recognised by others at such a prestigious event really was the icing on the cake.”
