Locogen complete health checks on M&Co solar PV systems
The M&Co clothing chain is an established high street retailer with more than 300 outlets across the UK. In 2014 and 2015 Locogen installed over 800kW of solar PV systems across 10 of these sites, including Alton, Castle Douglas, Crewkerne, Forfar, Largs, Midsomer Norton, Newport, Portishead and Warminster.
Now that the sites have been operational for 2-3 years, M&Co wanted health checks undertaken at some of the sites to ensure the systems were functioning safety and performing to their full potential. Locogen were appointed to complete health checks on a 450kW system at their Inchinnan headquarters in Glasgow and a 30kW system at their Newport shop. Locogen completed full system inspections, including DC system checks and yield comparisons. The subsequent reports concluded that the systems are in good health and have been performing to expectations. The systems continue to operate efficiently, generating free green electricity for M&Co to use on site.
